Illicit Relationship Self Test

If you are unsure about how serious your problem is, consider these questions:

  1. Does the illicit relationship interfere with activities you judge to be important (e.g., school, work, sleep)?
  2. Do you continue to engage the relationship even though it causes more pain than pleasure?
  3. Do you choose fantasy of the illicit relationship over sexual relations with a human?
  4. Has your intimate relationship been harmed by the illicit relationship?
  5. Has a loved one requested or demanded that you end the illicit relationship?
  6. Have you lost a genuine relationship because of the illicit relationship use?
