Do I have a Problem with Pornography?

Loss of control occurs if you get to the point where you continue to use pornography despite repeated commitments to limit its use. Consider the questions below:

  1. Does using or thinking about pornography interfere with activities you judge to be important (e.g., school, work, sleep)?
  2. Do you continue to use pornography even though it causes more pain than pleasure?
  3. Do you choose pornography or sexual fantasy over sexual relations with a human?
  4. Has your intimate relationship been harmed by pornography use?
  5. Has a loved one requested or demanded that you stop using pornography?
  6. Have you lost a relationship because of pornography use?

If you’ve said yes to any of these questions then pornography use is already having an influence on the course of your life, and it is time to take action. If you have tried to change this behavior and failed, click here to determine which trap(s) have got you so that you can begin to develop an escape strategy that works for you. If you recognize you have a problem but have never tried to change, do some research before making any commitments to change - failed attempts do more harm than good.
